I’m Mark Wohltmann, and I spend much of my life travelling the world of convenience retail.

I visit stores. I meet the people behind them. I explore new concepts, ideas and markets. I speak with industry leaders about what is changing — and what might be coming next.

Most importantly, I try to connect the dots.

Because an idea in Tokyo can inspire a retailer in London. A store in São Paulo can tell us something about changing consumer behaviour in Europe. And what is emerging in one market today might shape convenience somewhere else tomorrow.
